Pretty amazing work to get it back to life!

It’s the first Max OR made bike that I see cracked…they are usually very sturdy bikes.

I have a Serotta T Max myself and even when pushing it to the max the only thing I managed to brake was its chain…

Anyhow it looks amazing really! Enjoy it!

I think the issue was the pulley I had for the front mech tbh. Over 35 years of all weather riding and no doubt water getting down the seat tube it just gave out. I don’t think I’m a hard rider, but I’ve never been exactly delicate with it so I don’t think it’s a huge surprise tbh.
I’d don’t have a pulley now though and use a top pull mech just in case.
