Schwinn Cruiser 1988 Wine Red

Do you guys find a flathead works when the expander tool thingy doesn't?

No.

First up don't do it on the bike stand. Secure it on the ground with some wood. The best is a V cut-out in the work bench where you can put the top-tube and down-tube in. Then hold the frame between your legs freeing up both hands. Another trick is tie some string around the cups so they don't fly out.

Second up, use a proper hammer.

Can't believe you do bike wrenching up stairs o_O

Don't you have like a little patio or man-cave?

I never do it in the repair stand, I do it on the floor, my karate Monkey was thoroughly seized and my method of resting against the stairs and holding the frame in place with my legs did the trick, but these cups are not budging.

The shed is filled up with stuff, the plan is to setup a new little outdoor hidey hole with all the tools stashed in but I prefer to be inside where I've got all my bikes and bits. I've got 7 bikes upstairs, just stashed away so people don't judge too much.

It ain't gonna budge with a mallet....you need a hammer.....the shock will be lost in squish of the rubber mallets head.
It's a chrome plated headset in a steel frame...it'll come out just hit it 💪

Now I'm going to spank you all very soon

I have used a proper hammer, no luck, I used the mallet for a bit because clingy clingy ouchie earsies, I returned to using the proper skullbasher but you see lads problem is probably that my shitty headset basher thingy seems to be too soft so when I pound it hard, it pops out, instead of the headset cups

Now I have removed very seized cups before, and I tend to go more and more brute force as the cups refuse to budge, my problem seems to be the tools, not lack of force. What's the best type of piping to make one?
