Ben aka Pace taking on the night canoe stage BlueCrest Capital Management, sponsored by www.retrobike.co.uk, took 5th place in the 2007 Cisco Euro Challenge in Donegal Bay, Ireland. The all male team shone in the 4½ hour mountain biking stage to take 4th place, rising to 7th in the overall classification. As the European arm of the Intelligent Sport® World Series, an international programme of high energy, strategic team events, the Cisco Euro Challenge will test competitors to the limit. Over three days and two nights the teams will be faced with a number of mental and physical challenges where stamina, intellectual agility, strategy and decision making ability are vital. In recent weeks Retrobike.co.uk has seen a rapid growth in visitors and new forum members. It has coincided with a number of meets and some truly staggering BOTM entries. Just recieved the following from Billy Savage, the man behind Klunkerz - I'm setting up for the Hollywood screening of KLUNKERZ at the 600 seat Vine Street Theater on Saturday, June 30th at 5:00pm near the corner of Hollywood and Vine. The screening is in conjunction with The Bicycle Film Festival (see below) and it should be quite a gas. Gary Fisher, and other members of the cast, will be in attendance. After months of hard fought negotiation top mtb and road racer Geoffrey L Beetham has agreed to ride for retrobike for the 2007 season. Geoffrey's impressive palmares include numerous top 20 Elite NPS finishes along with the Masters NPS title in 2005. This year Geoffrey will be racing Masters Off Road and Elite On Road. Watch this space to follow his progress throughout the year.
