Z1 lower compatibility

Rebuilding my trailstar and along side it some old Z1's.
I have the original Z1 Duals but only one of the dampers, I also have a pair of 2000 Z1 CR's which I think are 110mm. Or they at least have longer dampers and stanchions than the duals. Haven't yet got the tape out to check the depth of the lowers but is there any reason I can't run the bolt through lowers on the CR dampers/stanchions?

Welcome @Bentrailstar you need to chat to the dr @kraeMit or check out his website which if you search on here for drmarzocchi you’ll probably find more info. I can imagine that running longer stanchions would mean transplanting all the internals and possibly running a different weight oil. But the dr is the authority on these types of questions around here.

Seeing as it is a set of his seals that arrived yesterday into sure why I didn't think of that....

Lowers are different depths.
Will now need to try and find out if the longer rebound cartridge will work in the duals, will email the doctor for his thoughts.

2000 Z1 CR's which I think are 110mm

2000 Z1 CR are 130mm - travel can be adjusted down to 110 with shorter springs.
