Part of the concept of the Yo was that it could take up to 2,5" tires in combination with avoiding an idiot Q factor because of the chainrings. That idea is deluted when it is build as a single speed.

I know that, but as i didnt want to build it as a wall hanger and already got some nice geared bikes im gonna build it ss.
But i think when my bonty race lite frame is ready im gonna ss the bonty and chance the eddy to some nice period correct specs.

Exactly, most people have no idea just how revolutionary the Yo Eddy design was in its time. Its taken 20 years for the rest to catch up.
