Xtr rd 972 GJ question

Hi, i just picked up a 'long cage' rear mech. I was thinking it would be marked 'SGS', but when it arrived its marked as RD-m972 'GJ'. I can't seem to find any info on it, so what does this GJ stand for, anyone know?

Update- just measured the distance between the pulley bolts and its 80mm so would that make it a medium cage and a 'GS' in shimano talk? Still weird it stamped as GJ.

Is the GJ next to the RD-m972 or is it elsewhere on the mech ?

Im just thinking the only pair of unusual letters could be the date letters :?

After some more googling i think youre right. I think i was wrong assuming all these mechs would be stamped "SG" or "SGS" only. So case closed
