Thanks. 28.6 is defo too small, as I just bought one off here and it doesn’t fit in at all, unless it’s small than was advertised.28.6 or 31.8? (There's also 34.9)
28.6 is the narrow steel standard, so if you have a derailleur clamp that's too small you've probably got a 31.8 seat tube o.d.
Thanks for that. It’s a Max OR frame, just had a new seat tube put in. Turns out the issue is with the tube and not the clamp!31.8 Seems likely!
It's an alloy frame I imagine
if the post is 27.2 - most steel seat tubes 27.2 id are 28.6 od - unless the tube is tapered.
Alloy needs thicker sidewalls, hence a larger clamp diameter for same post size
