Looking for some nice suspension forks in around 80mm travel for the Pace. Preferably in good working order. Whats out there?
Cheers
Tom

Hi Tommy

Can't help you out with the forks - but can inform you that TBH my RC300 and RC200 ride (and look) a lot better with 90/100mm forks than I was expecting and will be sticking with them for the future. Only tried them with 60mm Airforce IIs though, so not a perfect comparison.

It might widen your options a little though, if you get desperate.

dbmtb - that would be great news if thats the case. Currently I mistakenly attached 440mm carbon rigids to the RC300 and it's pretty twitchy. I thought that would be the same for 100mm suspension? I've always fancied some rc40s though.

Cheers, just had a look. Don't you think they're a little overpriced? What are you currently running on the rc300?

100mm RC39s.

You need to remember that Pace forks are best with a fair amount of sag.

£150 for those RC36s looks OK to me. Last pair of RC39s I saw on ebay went for over £250. There seems to be a premium on the hollowform stuff. You are essentially getting the same forks as DTs which cost an arm and a leg new, so they are keeping their price pretty well.

RC40s are outstanding - but the 130mm travel option is a wasted feature for your purposes so I would go for a lighter air fork.

I considered fitting my RC40s on the RC300 and putting DT XCM130s on the FSR but decided against as it seemed a waste.

Hi Octsoc

Hi Octsoc, I only need a short steerer think around 175-180mm would do. What flavour fox are the forks
Cheers T

I have a set of Fox Float RLCs which you can set to 80mm if needed.

Plenty of steerer to cut down and in good condition (recent oil change)
