A friend needs a laptop in a hurry - he's in the process of relocating and his existing machine has died. He's looking to see if it can be resurrected but needs other options - and quickly.
He'll start a new job next month so will eventually get set up through the IT department there. So he doesn't need or want anything flash. Windows 7 and Office 2007 or 2010 should do the job, though XP would work too. Ideally something fairly light and portable with screen in decent shape, but that's secondary.
So, does anyone have anything they want rid of? Or has anyone seen any really good deals on offer, either online or in a shop. He's in Brussels but is relocating to London and is spending a lot of time there so collection in London would be ideal. QWERTY is essential so the local market here is minimal.
