Wtd: 1986/87 frame or bike

The year I started riding, end of 1986, and I'm after something from the 86/87 model year. I ended up with a cheapo Raleigh that year and it took me two more years to save up for a DB axis.

Not sure what I want exactly but that age is most important. A fisher would be lovely, overburys, mf explorer. Doesn't have to be a top end job. WHY?

I have a 1988 Marin Palisades Trail if any good?

It was going to be a resto project so I have gotten together all the bits I needed to get it as close to original as possible plus some spares:

Replacement Shimano Exage Trail chainset with very good rings
Spare Shimano Biopace large and middle ring
Spare set of Shimano Exage brake and combined thumbie shifters
NOS Kalloy seat QR
New Wellgo pedals that look like large cage early Shimano ones
A new decal set from Gil (was considering a full repaint but just the rear triangle could suffice if you don't mind a bit of patina)
A complete set of brake pads

You might want to source another saddle and have plans for the bottle cage.

It's too big for me really so be nice if the new owner also restored it ;)

Re:

That's the sort of thing I'm after but it sounds like we are about the same size as a bit smaller would be good. 17/18 inch needed for my little legs!

Thanks for the offer though..

Keep em coming!

Re: 19" Ritchey

I have two 19" Ritchey's from that epoc. They are both timberwolfs. The green one is orig very low miles signed by Tom on top tube. Previous owner bought new and rode around the sea wall 4 times. $1500 can. the white one is a restoration/respray with NOS parts. No miles on that drivetrain. 1k. The Salsa is a later eighties but also a "19 that fits small. 2k. I have no problem shipping evading nasty courier import fees and ugly illegal taxes at port of entry. I love Canada post.
