No, no, I have seen completely identical products and shipping terms.Amazon is different as people pay more than RRP for convenience and next day delivery.
I admit for some rare (not bicycle*) stuff I list it on ebay/amazon for stupid prices - not because I want to get rid of it, but more on the basis that everything has a value to me - and for a stupid price I will sell it regardless of how much I like it. Back when DVD collecting was a thing, I sold a few 20 quid ones for around 200 quid because they were rare and someone was clearly keener on buying them than I was on keeping them. Everyone went away happy. They are waiting for their bikes to become rarities or antiques, so they put a high price I've never understood why they have to put a high price on something that won't be bought. But at the same time, I've seen people buy the same product at a higher price on Amazon.
Hi all.
Exactly this! The only reason I rarely list any bike stuff is that I can't be arsed.
Exactly this! So many people buy stuff using their phones so get bored of scrolling/swiping so end up purchasing items near the top of the search results.most customers don’t go further than the first page.
It’s also because the search filter system on Amazon is really poor, a cynic would say it is done deliberately to stop buyers getting the best deal.Exactly this! So many people buy stuff using their phones so get bored of scrolling/swiping so end up purchasing items near the top of the search results.
Covid really showed how herd like humans are. I was genuinely astonished at how quickly bikes sold during lockdown. Owning one wasn't compulsory to get the one hour of exercise, but suddenly lots of people (including my neighbours) got the impression it was.
