got this deore hollowtech crank with one chainring mount broke off and thought i'd have a go at fixing it

so i robbed a tab off a broken set of cranks

so i ground the rest of the old tab off .

it's quite solid now


if it fails i'll just throw it away

I have access to a tig but I just felt like doing it this way to see if it'll hold It's quite an easy bodge tbh

All I used was....... Grinder , file , vicegrips , chemical metal

Sorry to say that fails as a bodge job repair on 2 points:

1, distinct lack of gaffer tape

2, not a single zip tie used.

Sorry this frankly shabby bodge has no right to be displayed now go back and do it properly
