Wookiee's 95 Nickel Orange P7 finished Page 4 ridden Page 6!

Re: Wookiee's 1995 Nickel Orange P7 100% finished page 4

Had a lot of problems with fitting new chainrings...custom made washers sorted that.

Then the chain was slipping at the rear despite 2 new chains, an ig50 and an hg70. Also changed the rear cassette as I had 2 used 8 speed ones...still slipping!

Went to my LBS today with the 2 cassettes and it turns out that both were shagged! New cassette (HG50 for £1:cool: and it now rides like a new bike! I have the day off on Thursday so will take it out for a first shred and report back my findings!

Phew finally fully sorted...oh and I had some Amazon vouchers for my birthday so splurged them on some Hope QR skewers!

Tried to get it muddy but it is pleasantly dry out there! Had a good outing today quite impressed with the Pace forks they performed nicely. The gears all shiftly flawlessly and nice and smooth and the M008 shifters were really light and easy to shift.

This was the route I took today...lovely in the sun!

RC36's are really, really ace-balls.

Got to agree. They're close to a modern ride with retro good looks and light too. What more could you ask for except maybe a canti hanger?

Yeah they were better than I expected, not quite modern air fork standard. But good enough to save my wrists on the bumps! And I do think they look pretty sweet too!
