Hi

Knowing very little about road bike tyres I am after some advice. After kitting out my winter road ride with some good tyres. I dont want super skinny (currently have 23-24mm slicks on) After a bit more comfort and more forgiving to pot holes and wet tarmac! For a 700c wheels...

Many thanks in advance

Hi Doug ,

I us Specialised Armadillos, around 23mm IIRC, in the loft right now, not heavy, and good puncture resistance too.

Thanks for that I'll have a look...was hoping for something a bit wider?

Re:

Conti Gatorskins - no better all round tyre. And in widths of 23, 25, 28 and 32

Puncture resistant, grippy, long lasting and fairly fast.

Thanks for the recommendations. The armadillo look like the sort of thing I was thinking of...not going to run with mudguards...and just checked the current tyres on the bike are 19mm...
