Why do you collect retro bikes?

I don't have any modern era Retrobikes (noticed we're in the 98+), I do have parts just because they work well and we're cheap in around 2010-15.

This mainly, they're cheaper and easier to store than cars or motorcycles, or that's how it started at least.’cos they’re cheaper and easier to store than classic cars.
Now it's just something to get nerdy about and the community is ace tbh. It's a bit of a tonic for every day stresses in many ways, whether it's just reading about bike history, tinkering or riding, it's all enjoyable and (mostly) harmless.

Because I only had the money for bottom end stuff back in the later 80s.
Are the bees? Or does flashing them in the local club yield considerably less in accordance with aging?
Did they have 50 shades of grey?
I like mountain biking and mountain bikes, old and modern!
Personally, it's not a nostalgia thing since most of the bikes I collect are older than me
I just think there is something nice about the simplicity and elegance of retro bikes. Early to mid-90s is probably my favorite time period.
I am also interested by mountain biking history, so collecting retro bikes is kind of a way to own a small part of this history!
