Which rides better ? which to build first ??

Hi all

Need a damn good nudge and a slap

Have 4 bikes siting next to me, but cant decide which to build. I even asked my Wife what she would do, all i got was a blank look

I have a Saracen Rufftrax, a Marin Eldridge, a Univega Racelite and a GT Timberline. All early 90's but cant for the life of me decide which i should build 1st. Ideally i would build them all but space/time etc limits me. Sometimes you can have too much choice :facepalm:

Which would ride better, along somewhere like the Purbecks

Looking for another project is perfectly normal. ( For our value of Normal )
I'd do the Eldridge - I imagine it'll be the best ride. I don't know anything about Univegas - they just don't peel my banana I am afraid. As for the other two, the Rufftrax is very low on Saracen's heirarchy with the GT a bit higher up theirs. Eldridges were good solid mid range bikes veering into high end territory in places.

The Marin looks the part, and has some presence

I have had a couple of people say they thought the Univega was the catalogue company bike :shock: No that Universal :facepalm:

The Univega deserves some recognition, does not need too much doing to it either, could be done by the weekend :mrgreen:

Would it not be better to build the worst riding bike first otherwise you might be disappointed when you build up the others

The Univega will ride the best by some margin, Marins are boring in my opinion, love Gt's but unfortunately the Timberline was low end and will be pretty heavy.
