Which Raleigh is this?

Hello,

I've come across an interesting (to me) Raleigh: Reynolds 531, partially chromed fork and stays, Magura hydraulic brakes, front brake behind the fork..
Anybody knows what's the exact model?

I think it's a Raleigh Classic 15 from the early eighties. Have a look at this one:

Everything seems to fit except the colour. The Royal had that colour scheme, but had cheaper stays and lacked the chromed rear end. The Magura brakes are obviously a later addition.

And yes, that's where I got the picture from but the ad itself doesn't say much

Lovely frame but what a strange set up.
I like the frame and definitely worth putting back on the road, albeit in a more original style of setup. I like these with the chrome stays and forks and that one seems in better condition than most.

Are those some odd hydraulic brakes? Royals have been known to pitch up with the panto'd seat stay caps and chrome, maybe they ran out of the cheaper frames to paint and decal up? Not like Raleigh though as the bean counters would have had nose bleeds with that behavior lol
