Which one of these three frames would you keep??

I have to downsize my collection/obsession, just too many bikes/frames/bits etc and with a new baby on the way, it just has to be done (plus I need to pay for my new modern carbon Mojo HD140!). Trouble is, I'm attached to every one of my acquisitions and I really can't decide which ones to part company with... it's driving me mental trying to choose which ones go So.... thought I'd throw it out to the STW massive for their views (and I know plenty of you are going to say 'sell 'em all!' ).

1994 steel Ibis Mojo

Bought mainly as a 'retro' sibling to the Mojo HD. Lovely light frame, cool features like the handjob and roadkill possum decal, plus it's an Ibis (so fits in with my Bow-ti and carbon Mojo). Have done a couple of rides on this one, 'tis nice.

Land Shark softail

Bought purely on a whim (via a low speculative snipe!) from US Ebay, mainly due to the stunning paintjob! Still haven't built it up, so no idea what it rides like, but I reckon it will be brilliant (hand made, fillet brazed Reynolds 853, how can it be wrong?). The paint really is a work of art on this frame, check out this Flickr set to see what I mean!

Again, bought on a whim (again for a low speculative snipe); have always loved Kleins since I started riding back in the 90's when these first came out. Garish paintjob, but I quite like it. Again, haven't built this up and I've never owned or ridden one of these, so have no idea what it'll be like (stiff and harsh is one thing I've heard?).

So, these are the three on the chopping block... can you help me make a decision STW? :?

I would probably keep the Land Shark, it looks awesome and I have always had a thing for the soft tails. That said, I am liking the look of the IBIS, its most cerainly a tough one. Not a fan of that Klein though, so on the same page as Stylus, sorry!

Land Shark to stay, if I were you.

Keep the Landshark, the other 2 are common as muck round these parts.

Yeah, I'd lose the Landshark too - I happen to think the flash paint detracts from the simplicity of a very nice frame, but it's too good to repaint!

The Ibis is a superb bike and I'd keep it every time. The Klein is just that, but if you can't afford to build it up sell it to someone who can.

So sell the two and keep the Ibis...

I really like the ibis and klein more than the landshark. But the ibis and shark are alot harder to see than the Klein. So sell that.

The Klein I mean.

The LandShark is irreplaceable.

The Mojo is a good find, but dooable again - though not necesarily very easy to find in the smaller size you have.

The Klein, easy to pick up again for strong money - but you will get strong money from selling it to so it's swings / roundabouts.


I would personally keep the LS and Mojo and sack-off what ever modern you're getting - but that's cos the most modern bike I have is '95, and probably in all honesty that is in detriment to my riding pleasure...
