I have just finished lacing up a wheel with a alfine dynamo hub
but I am a bit at a loss presently as there are so many lights for a dynamo hubbed wheel that I can't make an informed choice
The hub is a Alfine Dynamo DH 501 6.0 - 3.0 W
Its to go on my Frankenbike :facepalm:
I know a bizarre build
with Alfine 8 rear wheel
Sunn Revolt MTB frame in Fuji SL - very light
Mafac Racer brakes which adorned most 70's upmarket randonneuses ! actually they are noisy but quite efficient !
It is meant to be able to ride it with suit and tie in a more leisurly manner - so the front bar from a dutch bike
and was actually built using mostly spare parts lying around in the garage
Later, I ll try to get a decent steel frame for disc brakes :idea:
maybe custom as the croix de fer is too heavy :roll:
So if you have a good idea for
first a front light ? with a max budget of about 30/35 quid
and also a rear light ? can the hub provide for both lights ?
but I wonder as cabling to the back would be cumbersome - so rear light with battery is probably smarter ?
