Which chain will fit?

Hi there,

I'm building up a vintage bike from frame and components. The components will be Campy Super Record, which I have purchased.

My question is whether it matters which chain I buy. There seems to be specific chains for all sorts of different circumstances/number of gears.

So what modern version should I buy to fit my campy SR, which is of course a ten speed 5x2.

Any thoughts/advice gratefully received.

Cheers

Everest, Sedis 3/32 chains would be a good start or the Modern KMC's

I have been giving some thought to what chain I should use for a rebuild that I hope to complete this year. This will use a Regina 5-speed,or maybe a (narrow) Maillard 6. I have been thinking of a SRAM or KMC 7 or 8 speed chain (which are compatible with older 5-speed), avoiding types with silver plates.

Hi All, in the end I've ordered the KMC X8 and the SRAM PC 870 - which are both 8 speed - to see which I like best....

Cheers

Stuart
