Which Campy bottom bracket is this please?

Hi folks,

I am preparing an auction of some unused clobber and have come to my first Campy bottom bracket and cannot identify it! Could someone please tell me what it is from the box please? It measures 114.5mm x 68 English. I believe it is the early taper style.

Hi, it looks like it, but I was unsure if the old style box would pre-date the Triomphe. I love to get a positive ID but Campy not marking the box hasn't helped!

green box colour was always Nuovo Tipo / GS and Nuovo tipo axles were black.............my era LOL

So that's the 70's then

They did mark the box! It says right there, "Serie Sport"!

Hmmm, interesting, it looked for al the world like a 70's GS / Tipo, the cups without the spiral.........

Would they maybe use the same BB between groupsets, or would they re-model each item? I don't recall buying them as a 'serie sport' and 'Nuovo Tipo' rings a bell, but that is not to say the item was correctly described in the first place!

I see your axle is 68-SS but I see no 120 stamped after that. That would make it after 1978 ish when they dropped stamping 120 on the axles........now that's from memory so might be urban legend LOL
