When did USE products come to market?

I know I was using USE bars/Qrs/bar ends/seatposts in '96 but wondered when they came to market if earlier than that, and if so what products came first. Anyone know?

That's interesting, didn't realise it went that far back.
Any idea on a timeline for the products?
I'm just trying to assess whether my Ti seatpost would be period correct for my '92 Merlin or '92 Indian Fire Trail.

That settles it, USE Ti post going on my Merlin for the time being

Be careful if it’s a rider. Those posts have a habit of bending where they meet the shim.

I had a green U.S.E seat post and handlebars on my '93 GT Zaskar. I don't think I used a shim for the seat post, but I had one for the handlebars.
Virtually impossible to find now!
