Can any of the retro gurus assist with a year identification question? I bought a beat up Schwinn Moab 2 for its frame (I'm kind of partial to the Moab hardtails). I had the frame professionally stripped and podercoated, and built and new bike on that frame. It turned out quite well.
I'm modestly familiar with the Moab line, the versions in steel and in alloy, the groupsets components used for each, and color schemes etc. The one thing that has puzzled me about the frame was the decal denoting it as a Moab 2. The paint scheme suggest one year, but I never seen this style of Moab model decal before. Have a look. Can anybody help me identify the year?
