although it looks marin-esque... i'm not convinced either.

1. only the rear brake cable is top mounted on models i know.

2. as mentioned above, the cable stops for the mechs ought to be on headtube instead.

3. tange decal is on wonky (to the right) no big deal but 'suggests' an addition.

4. serial number looks odd. did you take it from underneath the bottom bracket( where it should be )? .

It should have Marin stamped on the dropouts I believe.

Not a Marin serial number. Of course better pics of the details (dropouts, bottom bracket, seat junction, bottle bosses etc.)
If you're thinking ParkPre give rekiborter a quick shout. I always figured ParkPre would have Axxxx... serial numbers but do not know. Just because their Alu frames where A-Pro made.

Despite the naff photo's there doesn't appear to be a canti-bridge on the stays, which would rule out Marin??
