What do you wish you had never got rid of?

Been thinking of the things I have sold, swapped, given away etc over the years:

MBUK Magazines 91-97 recycled during a house move in 2003
Kona Race Base Ball Jacket – sent to charity shop
Load of stickers collected from races, shows and magazines thrown away
Middleburn Cranks – swapped for a Sony PS1 (this was 10 years ago when it had just come out)
Various Race T Shirts – used for painting in
Fat Chance Cycle Top – wife washed with one of her gym tops, ended up grey!
Mountain Cycle Moho – swapped for a Technics Stereo that died a few years later

Fortunately I never got rid of my Pace F6, this was my dream bike 10 years ago and still is today.

The Funk I gave to an ex-girlfriend when we split up in exchange for a microwave (that I then drunkenly blew up microwaving a packet of butter in its metal wrapper - don't ask). Beautiful bike, constantly ask myself 'WHY'!

My DeKerf s/s I sold when I was consolidating to just one bike for commuting and off-road and having 2 sets of wheels... Guess what, I've got 3 bikes now...
My old Alpinestars Cro-mega and Dyna-tech MT4 I flogged before finding this place.

Lastly, the ex-girlfriend that ended up filthy rich after an inherritance who'd just asked me to move into a (bought outright) swanky flat in Manchester with her... :cry: :cry:

My 16" Purple anodised GT Zaskar LE, sold it for £400 in 95, it was mint too :cry: , sold it to buy a Trek 9800 which was falling apart, and soon did :roll: .

All the original bits I replaced over the years - bars, stem, seatpost, pedals etc from my Parkpre Pro Image. Didn't throw them away, just can't find them!

DB Response Elite and my Stumpy (painted in Pro-Circuit colours, with matching anodized chainrings, and a nice mixture of DX & XT.... :roll: ). They were both proper race-slag bikes.


Oh....and my Vauxhall Astra Convertible. She got on the front cover of a magazine, but I sold it and went practicle. A month or so later saw her beging ragged by a right hoon; trashed she was. Broke my heart
