What’s the difference between Mavic 231 and 231 CD

Ever day's a school day!CD does give the surface a nice hard finish and a probably a longer service life but I hate the way it makes a bike look tired when then it starts to wear away.Machined brake track or ceramic always looks much better IMHO.

Machines surfaces came a few year later with the 117/217 I think, but ceramic was there

All the CD/TIB surfaces worked better once the CD/TIB had worn away, at least for me.
