@ Everyone else:
Thread revival seems to be in vogue these days, so I'm declaring myself the all-time Thread Revival Champion🤴 (Don't I get a badge for that?)

A badge is doubtful, a warning more likely. 😜

Most of the thread revival is done by bots. Usually they tend to bump general threads (like using classic cars for weddings), not bike-specific ones.
When we catch those posts, they get deleted (together with the bot itself) and the thread moves back down to where it was before.

Sadly the mods can't check all new posts, so we may miss some of these bots. If you see an old thread being bumped by a new user and something seems off, be sure to report it.

Xavier,

Sorry about that. Once again, my American humor (humour?) has backfired and fallen flat on its face. Often times, the goal of some of my posts is to illicit laughter, but many times the result is simply crickets. It seemed funny at the time, but I didn't know about the bot problem.

I have recently seen a surge of new users reviving old threads to ask if something is still available, but they appear to be legitimate. My reasoning was that it was due to the new format wherein the "Similar Threads" listed at the bottom of the page are sometimes several years old.

Warning heeded. Thanks for straightening me out on that.
Regards,
Frank

Don’t be sorry Frank, you are now undoubtedly the ‘Bump King’ and one of the very bestest members of this site.
@Raging_Bulls gave you a winky smiley so all is good, perhaps you need to brush up on your British humour (humor) a whisker!
Btw, I thought your revival post was funny as hell, it’s the people who don’t find it funny who need a warning!😂
Keep doing what you’re doing mate, we all love a bit of top bants*, I’m just gutted I didn’t think of it first.

*if you don’t know what this means, PM me.😂😂

Not sure if my reply qualifies as British humour. I'm only Belgian after all. 🤣

It's all good, Frank. I won't ban you ... yet. ;)
Belgian, British, it’s virtually the same thing!
They both start with B, we’re both from Europe and both as cool as fudge! That’s close enough for me.🤘
