Agreed, the others badle reduce the leverage in the whole system. And thanks for the link, I'd never seen ones like that before - only the horseshoe type.

I used to have a mavic one in the past that looked like a magura brake booster. It worked like magic.
Not sure the CNC add-on will not flex or fail under pressure.
I like the longer V-brakes idea. Though not a UK based item it seems from the listing. If anyone has some they want to part with, I would be interested

I agree with all comments too in hindsight...

You could probably make a better effort from meccano.

Defo a brake booster based one would be more effective and reliable.
