I had my bike stolen from outside work two weeks ago (a Surly Crosscheck) and, although the Police have caught the perpetrator, he's not saying where my bike has gone.
So, I've decided to build a single speed again for commuting on. Annoyingly I have sold 3 frames in the past year which would have fit the bill!
So, I'm looking for a steel frame and fork, in something like 531, with the following characteristics:
1. 21 to 22 inch size. Ideal for me is a top tube length of 21.5"
2. Horizontal / Campag style rear dropouts so I can run a single speed
3. Mudguard eyes
4. Paint condition is unimportant. In fact, tatty paint is fine! I'd like to build a bike that is nice to ride but unattractive to thieves. Not too much rust though, please
Does anyone have anything that fits the bill? I'd probably prefer something 80s or 90s built for 700c wheels but am open to anything.
