A bit of a long shot maybe but I am looking for one of these frames - size 22 - 23". A nice example was featured a while back on another forum but I was unable to make contact with the site member concerned. Chas Hill was one of several of the lesser known small volume frame builders / suppliers in this area of south London and was around until the 1960s. I would also be interested in any other frames of this type from around London not least an S Roland-Jones of Acton. Any help would be appreciated.

I picked up a badly hand painted Chas HIll frame a few months ago. Its now repainted, in the process of that I had the decals redrawn and a couple of sets professionally printed. Please let me know should you find a similiar project and require decals.

Thanks very much regards your kind offer. Any chance of seeing a photo please? Would love to see how the frame turned out.
Cheers.

There were traces of original paint, similar to Bianchi Celeste, unfortunately my paint place couldn't match it with anything other than 2K which I'm not happy spraying. I went with the colour the guy with the brush used.

A job very nicely done there, thanks for showing the pictures. I'll try and upload a picture showing another style of head badge, there was also a more simplified signature script on the down tube. Should you ever decide to move the frame on please bear me in mind, happy to pay up to £400 for a decent one, size being all important. I'm a member of the V-CC, wondered if you might be.

Thank you.

I am a member. I'm number 5911, you'll find me in the handbook. I would like to thin my collection but was looking to move my Colnagos on.... after a miserable Eroica experience! Drop me an email and we can have a further chat about the Hill.
