Walvale Racer?

Just got this from Liverpool, there's not much online about Walvale,
I know they were based in the Aintree area (It's on the badge!).

The young couple I bought it from said it had been in the attic for 50 years, the rear derailleur is scribed 'patent 76' so maybe it was more like 40 years.

Nicely equipped for the time I'd say, and a curious orange colour whoch is growing on me.

I'm trying to upload photos but it keeps saying the file is too big.

Anyway, Campag brakes, Nuovo Record gears front and back plus levers Mavic rims at 27 1/4, and Campagnolo Record hubs.
Early Shimano 600 chainset.
Primo Extra Giro d' Italia handlebars.

Serial number is WA90.

Colour and decals look original and in very good order.

Any info.greatly appreciated.

I've joined this Forum to share info about a bike that belonged to the husband of my cousin, who recently died. It is a Walvale cycle built in 1978 by Norman Roberts. I wish to share the info before I advertise it for sale somewhere. Here are some details I have gleaned about the cycle from a local shop........

Campagnolo Nouvo Record Gear System.
Campagnolo Headset.

SR Royal Chainset
Cinelli Bar and Stem.

Nice. Norman was the Walvale builder who later did repairs etc. at C&G Finishes in Liverpool. Sadly passed away a couple or so years ago. If it was 2" smaller I'd be interested myself!

Re:

Yesterday I put this Bike up for sale on eBay.
A search for WALVALE 1978 will find it.
6 days left, so get your skates on, if you are interested, guys.
