..here is another Youngtimer Project - the 1988 Vitus FKC9 "carbon fibre tubes meets alloy"

this is a beautiful Replica of Sean Kelly's KAS Team bike winning Paris-Nice 1988

The frame set incl. seat post I found in Poland for pocket money, the new set of decals made by dizzibird
The MAVIC components are coming mostly from France and from an Retrobike user here (thanks for the front derailleur)

saddly now you can't really build a full french road bike :?
 
i really like the detailed lines of this build and of coarse that unusual stem,i wondered how it loosend off.
so nice to see a dovetailed woodworking concept applied to a precision engineer'd piece
pardon if i seem a bit picky but the inner tube valves could be shorter :LOL:

... if I found a set of Wolber tubulars in acceptable conditions - but Sean Kelly normally used a Selle San Marco saddle
So it will be very difficult to build a French only bike. (i.e. MAVIC 451 brake Levers produced by Italian manufacturer Dia Compe)

you could fit a reydel or corima saddle and Wolber tubs to this era bike
