Bad luck. Go for gold at the end! They look great. I used to have a set, and they were the best forks I ever had. Soooo light, and real smooth. Makes you wonder if we have actually progressed at all! I'm almost tempted myself...

Good luck!

They're a bit expensive, who's paying that much for a set.
I got a mint condition set for less than half that.

If you want a really decent set of SL's, then where else can you get them? Lighter is faster, and these are feather like. So if you want a properly fast retro build - i.e. one that performs even by todays standards then, these are the puppies.
I'm not that averse to the price - compared to £400 for a new set of forks! Everything is relative I guess. Its quite a major component. I tend to find that a bike without a set of forks isn't that fast....

Nick Mason bought his Ferrari 250 GTO for £3K. Its worth in excess of £10 million now. Such is life.

1995 sees the introduction of the Judy series of shocks. All Judy shocks feature larger 28mm uppers, biaxial wrap around brace and a new forged aluminum crown. All Judy shocks use an MCU spring with a hydraulic damping cartridge. The entry level Judy XC weighs 2.9 lb and gives 50mm of travel. The SL model uses some titanium hardware and aluminum steerer tube to drop the weight to 2.7 lb while increasing travel to 63mm. The DH model is aimed at the downhill market and can be configured for 63 or 75mm of travel while weighing in at 3.1 lb.
