Maybe a little trimming needed on the brake cables? Hard to tell though, the portrait mode photos are actually almost a little distracting! I know it's supposed to highlight things, but I keep getting drawn to the weird little glitches it causes in the out of focus of stuff instead. But in that second photo, the totally normal old school one, there's nothing I think I'd change!

Maybe some M900 shifters with perches ones day? If you happen upon some!

I’ll need to lower the canti hangers and set the brakes up so they’ll stop the bike! Hehe
The suntour blocks are nos and seem to have the gripping power of a steam iron.
May need to change them - I was thinking Red kool stops

Before you go changing things AGAIN, try rubbing the braking surface of the brake block with some medium sandpaper this removes the shiny surface and helps them grip.
