Wanted USE SUB fork spares........

Hi all hope all is well with you all , does any body have any spares ( bushes , seals and so on ) for the USE SUB fork ???? any thing at all .........

Hi Roy,

The pivot bushes are standard flanged IGUS Iglidur ones.
I've not got the spec to hand, but if you can measure them up, they are easily available online from igus.co.uk.

The mail seal between the slider and stanchion is just a wiper seal, so shouldn't be worn out.
I've never needed to look for one, but fits a 1.44"/36.6mm shaft, 0.2125"/5.34mm tall.

The difficult one (if you need it) is the main slider bearing. It's a 4" long DU split sleeve bearing that I'm not familiar with (AMP forks get through loads of tiny 8mm diameter ones ).
I don't think USE would have used a special bearing for this. There's no reason to make the shaft some weird custom diameter, and given that there's a wiper seal available for the same diameter, it must be something off the shelf.

Hi Dan , thanks for the information , I know the IGUS bushes are available , but normally a minimum order , the hard parts are the pivot bolts ( the tappered ones ) and that nor-glide bush ( the one in your picture ) , always the problem with having something out of the norm , but thats Retrobikes .

Looks like you're well ahead of me...

Igus will sell small amounts, though, down to singles, but pricier, of course.
The pivot ones come out at around £7 for a single, but down to £3 each at 10 units.

Thanks Dan , the last time I looked at IGUS ( a few years ago now ) they only sold in 5-10 units , i'am a lucky man I run both USE and Cannondale SUB forks on two different Cannondales and I think I have enough for 3 rebuilds now .

I’ve a sub fork ,had it serviced by USE the other year .so they do still carry spares if your still struggling

Thanks for that Nobby , but when phoned USE a month or so ago no body had any knowledge of any spares for a SUB fork .................
