Use seatpost

I've unearthed a USE seatpost in a box of bits i was given
170g for the post alone, 235g for post and top clamp.
25mm by 400mm.

Aluminium or Titanium :?: How do I tell?

I'd imagine the aluminium will be fairly thick, more silvery in colour and smooth.

The titanium will have a slight tinge to the colour and little bit of a grain or texture to it.

From the weight it sounds like Alloy, as I remember the Ti ones being lighter

The alloy post is a bright silver (see pic below) whereas the Ti one is no where near as shiny and is a silver/grey-ish colour.

You won't be able to scratch a Ti one easily :?

That looks like an alum post. I bet the tube wall is about 2 mm.
