Unused DOGS BOLX F&F

You could have one built for less?

Probably, and Winston Vaz built most (*all?) DOGS BOLX and would recreate one too (though I reckon by the time you added forks and stem you might not be far off £2k?). But it wouldn't be the old tubeset etc...
Anyhow, it's nice, rare, probably a bit on the expensive side but I still want it but can't possibly afford it (plus I've kinda got one!).

More to comment on the photos, some nice paint touches I've not noticed before and slight differences to mine.

Cheers all

It seems like a lot of money. No it is a Lot of Money. But where can you now buy this tube configuration in this condition, with matching 753 segmented fork and stem.

As expensive as it seems, I would go as far to say that its a better ride than any Klein I have owned or ridden.

and when compared to the recently listed "Orange-Formula"..............actually it looks bloody Cheap...PMSL.

Re:

Ahhh, but is anyone going to dare to ride it?

I mean, the original finish will get ruined and after the inevitable respray it will no longer be original NOS and will be worth the same as all the other 1990's DB's.

I'm surprised someone in Germany or possibly America has not already bought it.

I'm not sure id look at the NOS part as the main selling point for me at all.

The paint is a veneer.

Id like to build that with XTR, Black X-lite chicken stixs, Silver with Black top X-lite post, on X-lite Kevlar black saddle, Mavic with Xtr hubs, XTR lever pods and shifters, Winwood black and grey pads, Black X-lite bars, Continental rubber.

I think the build could be done for just under £2500k. weight would be close to 21lbs at a guess. Klein weight, Steel compliance, easily refinishable frame with the Original tube combination and matching fork and stem. You would have a time warp Brand new bike, that is every penny yours and as NEW to love and to enjoy.

I ride the Bollocks off it.

I couldn't agree more, which was pretty much what I said to Chas when he asked me what I was going to do with mine.

Agree mate, you cant have a Roberts and Not ride it. As pretty as they are, the ride surpasses even that.

What I loved about this exact model and tube combination was how far it had come from all the experience of the White Spiders. And it became the longest production handbuilt mountain bike frame that I know of. Developing and evolving throughout its lifespan. Always Classic/simple and classy. Approx 12 a year since its launch I'm told.

steel used to its absolute best in my humble opinion.
