I think this is technically a softtail? Vibes like the ibis ripley or the modern Cannondale scalpels, except instead of a flexible chainstay it’s a flexible “seat tube”?
Or is that technically the down tube?

Funny that it’s a very rare piece, cool concept and technology, pretty old, and it’s cheap because it’s just bad.
Kinda like Klein mantras, or any of those bikes with the bb in the rear triangle. Rare, cool, old, absolutely bad to ride.

If you apply heat and then pull from both sides, you can shape it any way you want, actually even enlarge it.
