Greetings everyone,

This bike has me stumped, no pun intended. Can anyone tell me what frame this is and what year? Appears a previous owner updated the components.

The steerer is 1" and there are no eyelets of any kind. Seat post is branded Strong, not shown, and post size is 26.4. Frame is steel.

1989 me reckons, It's been repainted right so my guess is the eyelets were removed. Scrape the paint away to see.
I scraped the white paint under the crappy blue paint and found the rear brake cable bridge was removed from the stays, there are brass spots. I will proceed to remove paint at the dropouts to see if there were eyelets. I don't know if the factory did this or the previous owner, but I can't imagine someone would go all that trouble then to shoot a crappy rattle can paint job.

I'm thinking repaint. it's half inch too tall, but I will ride the easy trails with it, would be pointless as a grocery getter since it doesn't have the eyelets, those are gone too.

I tapped on the top and bottom tubes and they sound thin, so perhaps this is Tange Prestige.
