Thought I’d post this up here, just to keep a record of progress as much as anything..
I’m not sure what model this is, tbh don’t know much about this type of bike other than I’ve always fancied one ;)
I picked this up via Gumtree in need of work but at sensible money and it’s already yielded a nice X-lite top cap for my Cannondale so happy days.
Nice strong steel frame and 24” Deore/Sun wheels, unknown model Marzocchi fork (dirt jumper or similar - 2003).
Needs a general re-fresh and a couple of bits but the bones seem good..

Completely stripped, new bb bearings ordered and a 32mm seal kit for the forks, otherwise it’s just clean, lubricate and re-assemble.
I was just going to blow the frame in with some black paint but I ended up changing the colour to this metallic blue (I had a couple of cans spare)..
New decals are here already so once they’re on I can lacquer and re-assemble.
Should be tasty, I have some baby blue Odi grips and same colour pedals I’m hoping they’ll compliment the blue of the frame.

24seven parts do come up on eBay if you going for a full 24/7 build. I can see a stem.

I’ve had quite a few cranks, saddles, bars , stems so will let you know if I get any.

Got the decals on and sprayed the frame with a couple of liberal coats of heavy duty lacquer. Hoping I can build this up next week once it’s dry, all the parts are here just a bit of cleaning and polishing to do really.

Yes that’s a Dark Angel from what I recall, and they’re either Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 3s or Dirt Jam pros. 2004/2005. They both used the same body but the Dirt Jams had cheaper internals and came factory with horrendous rebound top out 😂

Got it all back together and looking pretty sweet.. new bearings for the bottom bracket were an education - never had to do Bmx style ones before, but they went in ok. The headset was missing its crown race but I found one that fitted. Rear hub/free hub service just basic tlc needed really.
Rides nice, like a giant Bmx.
Like it.

That looks gorgeous!
I always wanted a 24seven bike. I had those exact cranks, and I thought it hilarious that they came in a foil "takeaway" container. I remember blaming the cranks for my frame breaking: the frame was a GT Timberline, so not very robust, but every time I landed, it felt like the forces were being transferred through to the frame, and one day it cracked near the BB.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your build. It looks fabulous.
