defo drifting here due to other influences

work and family mean most of my riding is ROAD and not as enjoyable as it should be as it's commutes either in early hours of the morning or under pressure to fight a headwind home to get changed to pick up the wee one..

two projects in the shed, which I'm contemplating selling as I'm never going to get the time (and I fancy a light, modern, racey hardtail mtb)

Drifting back in, time is starting to free up a wee bit and I'm casting my eye over some retro projects again. Alas actually riding retro in any meaningful sense is probably a way off, I've seen the light of modern bikes and their reliability and skill compensation attributes, what time I do get to ride is spent on something newer. Looking forward to catching up with folks tomorrow, I think I've only saw Rado and ZZ this year (Jamie and Epicyclo at the Puffer aw the same, are you going this year?) and a cycle past of Gazz.

Yup, as usual.

Toying with riding my single speed retro bike in it.

Mainly because it was the bike I did the first 'Puffer on, and also because I suspect that by next year I'll be too decrepit and might need gears.

I'm still here. Never been a prolific poster so I quite often just browse as a guest. Family and work mean I've not been out on a significant ride for almost 2 months although I do commute most days on my '65 single speed which is certainly retro. When I do ride its mostly on the road on a modern bike. Hopefuly if we're doing a festive GT followed by Dunkeld I will be able to make it to at least one and catch up with folk. This year I've seen Clubby , ZZ and Jim up at Ballater and Gmac for an evening road ride around Renfrewshire. Quite often catch up with 47p2 as he's local .

I always thought when the kids got older I would have more time but it's quite the opposite.

Been mega busy at work and too tired to browse at night - well nothing with lots of words anyway Hardly been on my bike since September, lost all distance signs of fitness too. road bike is ridable but everything else needs a strip and grease (including myself )

Largely occupied with attempts to renovate hoose and commuting duties, although the odd shiney object still catches my eye from time to time.

Done a fair bit of tarmac but not been properly off road since Bawbags 2014 or Mount Keen the same year.

Bike rationalisation remains high on agenda but i now have better storage

I'm still here, like most have been busy with work and not had time lately to do much retrobiking of any kind. One project finished that's yet to be ridden and one project that has stalled, although I've got all the bits for it (just no time to get on with it). Hoping to get out soon and try the Dave Yates when I can summon the motivation :?

Still pop in on the odd occasion for a wee read but not been out on the rough stuff retro or not in a long while, what with family commitments which is sad and at the same time not. Got a plastic road bike now and now on the turbo this winter so planning a few road bike trips next year, will keep an eye on the site to see if there is any Tarmac tomfoolery that I can come to.
