Time to respray a Trimble. What would be the best way to remove all the paint? I'd rather not sit rubbing with sand paper all evening. Unless its quick sandpaper

Plus 'inside a Trimble'

I dont know on them there plastic bikes you got fella,  but nitromors paint stripper and wire wool does the job , but might melt your plastic machine so best check with other members on this one.. ;)

I think you're going to be stuck with the sandpaper method. I'd not recommend chemical stripping or bead blasting a plastic frame, it's just not worth the risk.

Mind, you shouldn't need to get the old paint off, just rub down the existing finish and spray over the top. ;)

I thought of doing that. But it felt like i was 'cutting corners' And i want to do a proper job. I have the black paint ready and the undercoat. Will get the stickers made up soon. Maybe a dremal?? or smiler tool?

paint removel

striped meny a frame in my time my recomdation is to find some where that do sand blasting or whats called media blasting which is where they use a fine oxide powder to remove the paint. this is very kind to ali') frames :)

It's not cutting corners. You have an 'old' carbon frame which you want to repaint. Seriously, is it worth ruining it trying to remove the paint when there's no need to do it? :?

I wouldn't use a Dremel either. Just sand it down with a medium and then fine W & D paper to get a good key then paint away. ;)
