Looks like it was built from random parts by somebody who had been told about a tricycle by a person who had never seen one.

Yes, there's a drum brake in the right hub. I think 'special needs' more like.

I think it's a parking brake
- I've never seen a foot operated lever,
I don't think you'd want to take one foot off the pedals when braking!

There’s a lot to process there. That extra vertical tube is reminiscent of a Flying Gate, though on this one looks like it was welded with daisy chained 9V batteries and some chicken wire.

The toe clips/pedal set up looks very specific. Could well be something that has been adapted for someone with additional needs.

It all looks a bit wonky alignment wise but that could be the photos I guess.

I like the welded-on bar ends too.
Radical yet modern.

Give those bars a hipster name like
"the Edwardio"
and they'd soon be on every surly this side of the pond
