Brilliant, this may be Retrobike but your bike hasn't gone up in value in three months. But you've got to love a chancer.

The price of immaculate vintage mountain bikes has increased and the price reflects the immaculate condition. Suntour produced the "best of the best" in running gear and XTR is the present name. In its day is was called XC Pro - the highest quality ever produced.

The trek has been hung on my london office wall for 5 years and not ridden. The price reflects this

Marathonman, you are sadly mistaken and highly misinformed. I am aware that XC Pro was the best that SunTour had to offer, but again, they do not and have never produced the XTR groupset. :roll: I can appreciate that the Trek is in very good condition, but not so to increase £50 a month in value. Why not keep it on your wall another 5yrs and, at that rate it'll be worth another £3000! Good luck with that. :facepalm:

One of the nicest I owned TBH, Shame it doesnt have the original rims, matrix MT pro's were one of the lightest rims out there at the time, I bought one of these brand new from York cycleworks for £750 ..... it was mint
