Hell's Donkeys...
I've just been poking at a mate's bike - a Scott Speedster 60. Its only about a year old, it cost 450 sovs, and it's got flinkin' Tourney on it.
What is this MADNESS? Do Shimano now make something worse than Tourney or something? I mean it all looks ok ( Aside from the wheel, which I understand was fitted by a reputable LBS but has entirely the wrong dishing on it, meaning it's about 25mm off centre, yet they told her the wheel was out of true and that's why the brakes are rubbing...and *I* am the ex Halfords Mechanic here.
Well quite. The frame is nice and the finishing kit is ok ( I am not counting the aftermarket wheelset ) but for the love of all that rolls, TOURNEY...
*Mutter, gibber, groan, whine...goes and takes medication to calm down*

Disgusted of Chorlton.

Yup - Tourney - the lowest of the low although at least it comes with STI but it is pretty piss poor. Those front mechs date back to deep into the last century

Er...
Holy Crap.
Both of them.
Yeah I had a pootle on the Scott and it rode nicely, but that STI is an, er...interesting approach to changing up on the rear when you are on the drops. ( you can't ) I was suprised to see the once hallowed name of Snchros on the post and bars as well. Overall very nice but I want to talk to someone about those wheels and Shimano need to bin those STIs. Downtube shifters are more convenient at times.
