Think this thread has run it's course. Would just like to make a couple of points.

-We have no issue with people racking up big post counts in the general and off topic section. As long as we remember this is primarily a site about retro bikes.
-Some users (and I'm not singling anybody out here) could perhaps think on before adding to threads elsewhere. Sometimes a single line jokey comeback is appropriate, sometimes not.

And finally onto Scott aka Marin Man since many of these posts are either about him or allude to him. I don't generally like to discuss such things in public but I'm hoping this might get through a little more effectively than the numerous PMs which have been seemingly ignored.
I'm aware Scott is genuinely enthusiastic about the retro bikes and helps numerous people out both with his time and also with parts.
This however cannot excuse his often inappropriate behaviour, although if I'm honest it has stopped me from banning him permenantly. He has certainly done more than enough for the three (or is it four) yellow cards to be converted into a red card and I have never had more complaints about a single users than I have about MM. Sexist comments, racist comments, abusive posts, abusive PMs amongst numerous other transgressions are not acceptable. Clearly myself and the mods are privy to the 'whole picture' where many who have commented here are not.
Further he seems extremely capable of aggravating other users but yet is extremely thin skinned when the tables are turned. If you are happy to give it out you need to expect some in return.

Anyway I hope Scott takes heed of this. If not perhaps those who are on good terms with him might try and keep him on the straight and narrow.
