After 10 years of hunting, and slowly coming to the conclusion that it would never happen, I have finally found a major missing link in my Miyata / Greg Herbold collection!

1990 Miyata RidgeRunner Team, as per the one Herbold used to win the 1990 Worlds. :)

There are a few minor differences - including the obvious that it's 'me' sized and not a ginormous monster frame like HBall used - but beggars can't be choosers...

More updates when it lands, and a big search to come gathering the parts [ie. some white Porcs... :shock: ] and hopefully sometime soon a 'family photo' or the replicas together.

I'm still missing a couple of bikes to complete things how I want [and have 'claim' on a third] but this one is a big tick off the 'dream list'!

And tomorrow is Spa - what a weekend!

I'm skint for a while after buying far too many things though, so it won't be an immediate purchase!

I did get given his contacts by Paul Smith at one of the iconoclassic shows, but lost 'em after a few too many...

I would really like to when they're all finished, but don't want to be a dicky 'fan' about it, and he's moved onto other things now since leaving SRAM so he probably wouldn't be that interested really.

After all, he's got about hundred of his own genuine ones in the garage...!

Not sure I've ever been this happy before about spending lots of money on a bike - I think the fact I know it'll be a while arriving has allowed the excitement to build a little more than I'm normally used to...
