Tiny 93? Kona Kilauea?

Re: Tiny 97/93 Kona Kilauea/something else

Yes been thinking that also. Leftover 96 frame in 97 colours I guess.

Re: Tiny 97 Kona Kilauea

For short cranks try Spa cycles, they do them down to 160mm for £25 or so - decent ones!

I might have a set going shortly too... ;)

Re: Tiny 97 Kona Kilauea

Pip 14" and 3.5" are the measurements you're after.

It's original paint O-E-J but I will study some catalogues later. Maybe different drop outs are needed because of the angle of the seatstays?

Hamster- thanks for spa cycles tip- pm me if you've got some to sell ;-)

Thanks all for compliments! It's a cool bike for sure, might get my 8 yo out cycling a bit more!

Re:

Thank you very much for the measurements.

Hope this helps; here is my 1993 Kilauea, which has the same Dropouts and Cable Stops as your tiny one. Mmm, curiouser and curiouser :?

Re: Tiny 97 Kona Kilauea

The cable guide is covering it but it ends in 91 :-0

Re:

Okay, I thought it may do.

The 1993 Kilauea was built in the Fairly Factory and has a prefix of F3 or F2.

The 1997 Kilauea was I believe built in the Hodaka Factory (if it's the same as the Explosif for that year), and will have a prefix of H7 or H6

If you feel inclined to remove the cable guide at some point...... well I think some of us may be interested to know.

Re: Tiny 97 Kona Kilauea

Where's Anthony when you need him?

CTK's bike has a squashed (not flare-butted) seat tube bottom end and a slim, straight (not tapered) top tube, so it's not Columbus Cyber or Tange Prestige Concept.

I reckon it's either a '92 Kilauea or maybe a '93 Cinder Cone!
