Hi

Does anyone know what the length and diameter of the elastomers in a Thudbuster 3G are? Looking at maybe using them to replace the worn out ones in my Proflex Attack LE (not paying £50 for 2x bits of rubber!) but cannot find any indication anywhere of the dimensions.

Or, does anyone have any recommendations of other alternatives?

TIA

Ade

If you don't mind a home brewed option, this one is pretty interesting, especially because it is almost free!

Basically, an old tube wrapped around the shaft, held in place with zip ties.

Interesting. The elastomer on mine is a bit longer (double the length by eye) but comes in 2 pieces with a spacer, but this guerilla fix is certainly worth a go. After all, what's the worst that can happen!

Land rover Defender front suspension bushings. They have the correct sized hole in the centre and you can get 8 for £5. Downside is their diameter is less than the original elastomer and they are quite stiff rubber so travel only about an inch. However travel can be improved a bit by drilling holes in them apparently though I've yet to try this. I find 4 bushings stacked together on my Proflex Attack are about right😎
