Aside from bikes in my sig, I've got around 12 sets of forks I'm not using on builds:

Are they organized into separate suspension and rigid sections?

DX stuff is as good as XT, all day long, I only ever managed to break one component BITD, and that was the STI shifters, so no great hardship...

Quality kit..

As to the original STI shifters (push-push), I've got a NOS XT set, and a very good condition DX set, and I struggle to see the difference.

Perhaps there's something significant in the internals, and the LX and below push-push STIs are notably different, but the push-push ones look, at least, the same?

Hmmm, is the retro market actually much smaller than we think it is because we've all got so many spares? I've recently built another bike which has used nearly all of my spares, now it's got to be one part in one out. I feel a few 99p start auctions coming soon.
